Turmeric goes way back and has been used in many ancient Ayurvedic treatments for all types of arthritis, and digestive issues.
The healing properties of turmeric are very strong due to its antioxidant rich compounds, known as curcuminoids, which are found in the golden colored spice. Curcumin is really amazing as it relates to reducing inflammation.  The strong anti-inflammatory properties can be used in any Inflammation producing disease such as arthritis, heart disease, cancer, and others.  Research has also proven that these curcuminoids to have many additional health benefits including  ulcerative colitis, and dyspepsia (stomach upset) and ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, psoriasis,  rheumatoid arthritis, as well as cognitive impairment.

Turmeric’s Uses

With delicious earthy notes it goes great in greens, pastas, soups, grains, soups and more.  It is a wonderful addition to any sandwich, rice, omelet, veggies and more.  Goes great over any protein enhancing the flavor adding a rich earthy flavor.  All you need is a small pinch as it is very rich in flavor.  Using a small 1/4 teaspoon will bring strong anti-inflammatory properties and enhanced digestive health to any meal.
