Echinacea
Native Americans were the first who recognized the healing properties of this incredible flower. Echinacea has properties that activate the body’s ability to heal itself. The applications of this first began as crushing the wildflower’s to make a fresh juice from its leaves which were ingested as a beverage and also prepared in compresses.
In recent years science has confirmed the immune boosting benefits of echinacea. These immune boosting components have been shown to increase a number of immune system cells in the body and also in enhancing the activity of these cells.
Echinacea is also referred to as purple coneflower and Sampson root. Echinacea is wonderful in preventing colds, flu, bacterial, fungal and viral infections. When applied topically it is great in helping heal wounds.
