Organic Apple Wheat Waffle w/ Flax & Oats
Topped with Blueberries, Agave & Vegan Butter

Ingredients
- Cups soy milk – low fat – unsweetened
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 cup organic whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup flax seed meal
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 1/4 cup organic oat flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 Cup Organic Blueberries, washed and dried, for topping waffle
- 1/4 Cup Organic Agave
- 2 Teaspoons Organic Vegan Butter
Directions
In bowl mix together soy milk, oil, and applesauce. Beat in whole wheat flour, flax, wheat germ, baking powder, and sugar.
Mix until batter is smooth. Preheat waffle iron. Brush with olive oil.

Pour batter into waffle iron.
Blueberries inside your waffle
If you want your blueberries inside your waffle, once battered is poured scatter a couple blueberries per side and close waffle iron.
Blueberries outside your waffle topped with agave and vegan butter
If you want your berries cold on the outside sprinkle atop once done and topping the waffle with agave and vegan butter. Best when done in batches, and cooked until crisp and golden.
Top your waffle with a little agave to your liking.
There are many types of agave the one I preferred on the waffles was the light organic agave.
and a little bit of vegan butter.
and then add your blueberries to top it off if you are eating them on the outside.

This is a wonderfully healthy alternative to eating white flour and sugar in standard waffles.
Great alternative for the whole family to enjoy.

I like making these for the family and making extra to freeze that I can pop out during the week conveniently toasting and serving!
