Colorful Companions to Any Meal
Try to get a rainbow of color into your diet. These colorful compliments don’t only add an array of nutrition to your food but also wonderful flavors to compliment any meal. Lately I have been trying to work in purple cabbage, bell peppers, carrots, celery and radishes into my dishes. I have been working in these colorful favorites to salads, soups, sandwiches and more. I have found that the flavor profiles and added textures to some of my recipes have taken them to new dimensions. Try to get your rainbow of color into your diet and see what new ways you can add some color to your food. You may just be surprised as I was and find that it’s wonderfully delicious and a beautiful sight making your meal come alive.
You can chop these up and have them on hand to add to any meal. I recently used these and added them to my kale salad, avocado roll up, soup, stew, stuffed cabbage and peppers and more. They are wonderful to have on hand and can be used in just about anything.
